Aqua paint inspirations

Hello everyone, how are you this Monday? I hope you had a good weekend and are enjoying your week so far. Todays post is dedicated to the power of paint, aqua colored paint to be exact. It is amazing what you can transform with paint and it is simple and rather inexpensive.
I recently scored some free paint from Valspar and Glidden via their FB pages. This started my new obsession with turquoise colors as I told you about here. I have been painting pretty much everything over the past few months that I could get my paint brush on. The Glidden paint color I chose was called 'Soft Sapphire', and eggshell type interior paint. I received a full gallon of paint via FedEx. I will tell you about the Glidden projects in an upcoming post.

The Valspar kit arrived complete with paint roller brush, sample and paint holders. The paint color I chose was called 'Beach Sparkle'. Isn't that a perfect name?

I started by painting a picture frame that used to be purple. Now it looks a lot more beachy!

Next I tackled this lovely heart shaped mirror that I got at a flea market in Germany. The frame was originally gold with green and pink leaves. I like this color better.

This mirror used to be brown and boring. It is really heavy and I can only lean it against the wall. I was going to adorn it with sea shells, but then I propably couldn't lift it anymore. It is actually army issue-I got it about 20 years ago when a local army base closed down and threw out a bunch of furniture.

Now it looks fresh and new and I placed silver shells in each corner to give it a pop. I'm glad I like the mirrow now since I'm kind of attached to it.

Not a bad start into my painting adventures. I have said it before and I will say it again-the power of paint can transform most anything from drab to fab. It is simple and easy to do.

Which is your favorite color? Linking up at Susan's and here. Cheers,
